Large pothole on busy stretch of road, just before the turning into residential road

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Large pothole previously “fixed” last year has reappeared but larger and deeper above the ford that crosses underneath the road. I live local and can see cars having to swerve if they see in time and there is a gap in the traffic coming the other way

  • This is, as of now, the largest pothole I've seen in my life - not including sinkholes seen on TV. Please make this top priority!

  • Thank you for your report. I have visited the site you pinpointed on the map, in Faringdon Road, near Gozzards Ford junction, see photos, and assessed the issue you have identified. I couldn't find the defect you refer to, at this location, see photos. The defect I did find has already been repaired, see photo. I am therefore closing this report.

    We will continue to monitor this site during our routine inspections.
