Road covered in gravel
Reported via mobile anonymously at 17:57, Fri 31 March 2023
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later
Entire length of Hagbourne Hill coming down from Chilton to the roundabout is covered in gravel. This almost caused an accident as I lost traction while rising at around 35 to 40 mph. This is continually happening however this time instead of patches the road is getting covered completely I gravel making it incredibly dangerous

I also came to report this (again, has been swept before but needs it again now). The nature of this gravel is potentially fatal to motorcyclists as the road is narrow and difficult to remain in the 'clean' car tracks when taking the bends, and especially if out of sight as one crests the rise and only then begins making steering adjustments. Loss of front wheel traction combined with the degraded edges mean this would be a serious injury to a motorcyclist. As I requested before, please sweep this road regularly until the degraded road has been repaired.

Gravel, and dried straw still on road and troughs at side of road. Cyclist warning sign useless as still not lighting up. Very dangerous stretch of road

Huge ditches on the side of the road now which could see a car crash if they catch a wheel in. Why don't you just fix this properly once and for all with a raised kerb all the way up the hill?
