Sunken drain grill on the A417, East Hendred, between Portway Close and White Road, just past the bus stop, heading toward Rowstock from Wantage. Been repaired before, and sinking again already.

This drain grill has dropped AGAIN, most likely because traffic are swerving to avoid a long overdue repair to a potholed road surface that was FIRST reported back in July 2021 and vehicles are continually driving over the drain grill instead.
Now not only do motorists have to deal with potholes by swerving into the verge, but they now also have to swerve again to avoid this sunken drain grill as well.
Here are 3 reports mentioning the pot holes and poor road surface.

Had this road been repaired when reports were logged about it a long time ago, then it's almost a certainty that this drain grill wouldn't have collapsed (again). IMHO it's going to keep sinking until the road surface before it is also repaired.
