A 30mph Maximum Speed sign has been removed from the roadside
Reported via desktop in the Road Markings category anonymously at 17:50, Tue 28 March 2023
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
A maximum speed sign that indicates a limit of 30mph has been removed from the side of Wyfold Lane. This was not done by officers of, or contractors working for, OCC.
The removal of the sign has taken place in the last two weeks and coincides with the erection of new fencing by the occupier of Wyfold Grange. New fence posts have been installed in the roadside verge arbitraliry extending the boundary of the private property.
The lane is very narrow and the sign was located at a bend. I am very concerned that the removal of the maximum speed sign represents a danger to pedestrians, cyclists, horse riders and drivers of vehicles.
The action is extraordinarily dangerous and shows flagrant disregard for the members of the public.
