Ongoing flooding, property damage and dangerous manhole cover

Reported via desktop in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 13:25, Thu 23 March 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

I have reported this ongoing problem for over 2 years. The surface water drain on the road at the end of my driveway overflows ever time we experience heavy rainfall. This floods my drive, fills the porch up and flows around my house sometimes as high as the damp proof course. I have paid to have rods put down and there is a partial blockage of the drain underneath the road. The Fix my Street has been closed twice with no action taken and all of my emails to the Highways Team have gone without reply. The heavy manhole cover is floating away, which means I have to replace it, while someone could easily fall into it and risk injury. I also am having to regularly remove the cover and dig out all of the soil/gravel/twigs that are accumulating. Once again I politely ask if the highways team could come out with a camera and properly investigate the blockage and put a plan in place to remedy it.
