Pavement blocked by illegal parking

Reported via desktop anonymously at 21:36, Wednesday 22 March 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later

Parking is a premium on the estate, but there is a long standing issue with the lorry parking so close to the house and blocking the pavement. The vehicle owner has been asked on several occasions to park elsewhere (there is space near garages a short walk away). The vehicle is sometimes left in this position for days and means that the homeowner is unable to access their fence to make repairs and services are unable to access the junction box or drains. There is the additional issue of the car parking directly on the corner in front of the lorry forcing cars out into the road to pass both on a corner where it is difficult to see oncoming traffic. There is a grass area close to the offending vehicle and it might be beneficial to consult the residents as to whether they would find it beneficial to put a road between the two rows of house and provide additional parking.
