Accident waiting to happen!!

Reported via mobile in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 22:39, Mon 13 March 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Shipton Road is a busy school route but is clearly not wide enough as seen by tyre marks on the verges and the road has huge ammount of potholes some like mini ponds in the middle!! they can not be avoided. Don't even get me started on the new junction. The layout is an accident waiting to happen, its so barrow forcing coaches on the other side unknown what is heading towards them. Its scary that this design got the go ahead, impractical and dangerous, risking a crash en route to/from school.

  • Dear Helen,

We are working with the developer, contractor and OCC Network Management to complete the works to adoptable standards and in a timely manner. Please note, the current layout is temporary. We are impressing the importance of finishing the highway works to the developer.

    Kind regards
