Underpass under Elsfield Way in Cutteslowe

My children and I use the underpass on our bikes to get to and from school every day. We live at 40 Harefields and cycle to Wolvercote School. It is not safe for us to use the roundabout as my 3 year old is on a bike. So many cars run the red light at the roundabout (especially going towards Kidlington) that I cannot take my children that way any more. Since using this route in September we have suffered numerous punctures. Thorny bushes have been trimmed by the council and the clippings left or dumped in the underpass. Clippings are never cleared. There is broken glass on the ramp leading to Jackson Road. There is also dog mess on the ramp leading to Holt Weer Close. The underpass is dirty, unsafe for bikes and the potholes make it difficult for me to push my cargo bike up the ramps. It is the safest way for us to get to school. Please can it be cleaned and please could you consider resurfacing it? Thank you.

Despite reporting broken glass on 6th March, the same glass is still there. There is now a dumped TV on the Holt Weer side. Children use this underpass. Why has it not been inspected and cleaned on a regular basis? Please escalate this to the appropriate department, or tell me who to contact directly. How can you close a report where any path that children use has been reported as unsafe?

Despite reporting fly tipping on 17th April, the TV has now been smashed to pieces. My children can’t ride their bikes through the glass, so we are now forced to use the Cutteslowe roundabout. My youngest is 4, and neither route is safe for him to use to go to school.
