Dangerous access to bridge from steps.

Reported via mobile anonymously at 15:07, Sat 4 March 2023

Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Easy access for people in a mental health crisis to mount precipice by steps and end up on road side of protective fencing. Too many suicide attempts!!! Perhaps semi circular railings with spikes could be installed on all four end points of bridge to stop access! Only 1 mile from Warneford Hospital and may be on social media as good place to go!! I was in attendance on the bridge on Thursday when a girl was thankfully saved. 3 years ago my son, 18 at the time, saw a girl jump! Thankfully a lorry carrying straw had pulled up under bridge to break fall!

  • This is known about and passed to our contractor to prevent the access, there is a similar bridge in Witney that'll be done first as it has a priority simply due to it have more suicide attempts.
