Speed signage and no turning

Reported via desktop in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 11:44, Friday 3 March 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Ernest road needs 20 miles signage put up before there is a accident I've nearly been knocked over whilst walking my dog. The cul de sac of Ernest Road needs a sign clearly stating no though Road as we have lots of cars and vans coming down the road is narrow and generally there are 4 cars parked at the bottom belonging to us residents. The area is a nightmare and with so many elderly living in this area something needs to be done now.

  • The drain needs cleaning out in the cul de sac bottom end

  • Thank you for raising this concern with us, apologies for the delay in response. As Ernest road is not currently a 30mph zone, it would be inappropriate to install signs as such at this stage. We will investigate if any safety issues currently exist that we can repair, however for larger changes such as a speed limit change I would suggest contacting your local town council.
