Large quantity of silt/soil discharging into watercourse

Reported via iOS anonymously at 13:19, Friday 24 February 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and Vale of White Horse District Council less than a minute later

There seems to be a new drain which is pouring water and silt in a watercourse leading to the Letcombe Brook. This is causing noticeable discolouration of the water downstream. It also appears to be silting up the stream close to the outflow.

Council ref: ENQ23949548

  • I live locally to this site and did notice a few months ago that the new people that have bought The Mead, dug a channel right across their field with a mini digger, to the edge by the stream. I think they might have put a drainage pipe in.
