Cars parked on cycle lane

Reported via mobile in the Suggested improvements category anonymously at 20:30, Tue 21 February 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

I have noticed an increasing amount of cars parking on cycle lanes and double/single yellow lines along Abingdon Road, mainly between Norreys Ave and Lake Street with a considerable concentration around The Berkshire Pub, In direction to City Center. Because of this and while cycling, I have had multiple encounters with car drivers who try to overtake me while I overtake parked cars that obstruct the cycle path and street. One time, one of those cars almost crushes with another car coming on the opposite direction. Would it be possible for council agents to come to these streets to ask car drivers to not park there?

  • This is also a problem in front of the pharmacy in on Abingdon road. Cars are always parked there and makes it really dangerous whole cycling
