Large potholes

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category by Elizabeth Gibbins at 15:41, Tue 21 February 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Water is continuously flowing down road causing a string of potholes on both sides of the carriageway. This is cycle route 5 and this part is quite dangerous. It has been forming over the last week or so.

  • Just out of shot on the right, there is now a root exposed by people driving over the verge to avoid the large hole. The gap between the two hazards is very tight, you have to creep through trying not to damage your tyres in the hole or your tyre wall on the root.

  • This has been here for weeks and is gradually getting worse. It is large enough to dismount a cyclist if not avoided and it would almost certainly crack a wheel if driven through in error. It is now dangerous.
