Estate Agent sign on public highway

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and Vale of White Horse District Council less than a minute later

No sooner had other errant estate agent signs been removed William Jones Estate Agents Didcot 01235 812229 erected a sign on land not for sale, to say they had been “Successful” in selling a property about half a mile away. These signs are a highway distraction, littering, an eyesore and not permitted in law unless on the property for sale. Please could the county council write to all Estate Agents in the locality requiring them to follow guidelines here and on all other street corners in the Didcot area or face prosecution? If this cannot be done I will have to continue to report these signs here and be grateful for your continued support. I would be grateful if you would act swiftly as once one sign is up a flurry follows. Many thanks for your help.
