Exposed cast iron manhole (due to adjacent pothole) burst two tyres on 24.1.23

Reported via desktop in the Manhole category anonymously at 22:13, Thursday 26 January 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Two burst tyres from pot hole / sharp edge of exposed manhole cover.

The pot hole on the B4449, just before the South Leigh turn off, (coming from Eynsham) burst two of my tyres on 24.1.23 which now need replacing - despite the Council being aware of it since early January (reported then and now via Fix my street) - the pot hole is next to and exposes the sharp edge of an iron manhole cover which lacerated my 2 tyres.

Photos attached

I will be looking to WODC / Ox CC for some form of recompence for the cost of replacing 2 tyres.
