Trench revealed from previous work

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

At ///blog.noble.scans, westbound on Grenoble Road just as entering the roundabout from the right hand lane there is what appears to be some previous utilities work. The tarmac covering the trench from that work has come away revealing the trench again resulting in a significant hole along the width of the road

  • This trench is so wide it impedes access to the roundabout. This will cause an accident as people need to use the left most lane for all routes on the roundabout. Trench is easily 1ft deep, 5 ft wide and 1-1.5ft horizontal. This needs fixed rapidly.

  • Only one lane (left) is now usable. The trench is as wide as one lane & is getting worse.

  • This has still not been sorted and is extremely dangerous as having to suddenly slam on brakes. It is beyond a simple hole , it is a deep trench so please fix asap.

  • This trench almost caused an accident on Thursday 2/2/23. Had two cars in front of me, one in inside lane and one in outside lane, on approach to the roundabout the car in outer lane stayed in the middle lane, however due to the pothole on the junction they suddenly swerved into the inside lane cutting up the car in the inside lane up. This pothole if not sorted will cause an accident.

  • IRGENT REPAIR REQUIRED. This hole is treacherous to say the least. Urgently needs fixing, this cannot await "pot hole eork in due course". We crossed it from stationery just now and it was a job to get out of the hole once in! In the dark this would be so much worse.
