Massive pothole/ rut that’s 150mm deep in places

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 14:18, Friday 20 January 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

I reported this on the 9th Jan and this still hasn’t been fixed, or any signs been out in place to indicate danger. Somebody has marked it with red spray paint but that’s almost been worn away.

It’s visible and maybe avoidable in the day but almost impossible to see at night and invisible if it’s been raining and full of water.

The incident last week wrote off one of my wheels and destroyed my tire. I imagine many others have done the same.

Can you please send somebody to either patch it immediately or put some signage in place to indicate the danger and prevent anybody else from damaging their car or having a more serious accident.

  • Please can this road be fixed - we know where most of the potholes are and drive slowly as a result, but have still had 2 punctures in 2 weeks as there is nowhere to go when a car comes the other way and in the dark you just can't see them. It is so dangerous - especially if you are not a local and don't realise how slowly you need to drive. They will cause a proper accident soon, not 'just' expensive punctures.
