Water welling up through road

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later

Reported to Thames water who attended but denied this was coming from their main despite water welling up through a patch following a leak from main ?18 months ago.(tested for flouride, negative) Water is spread by traffic and freezes to create sheets of ice across road, a major hazard to vehicles and pedestrians especially the elderly resident of Halls Cottage.

  • We have investigated your report and this issue has been added to a programme of work of road drainage clearing and locate the drainage pipe. this is thought to be a water leak.
    Oxfordshire County Council prioritises high flood risk areas when considering drainage because of budget constraints but we will monitor reported issues during routine inspections. LINK to planned programme of work.?
