Light from streetlamp shining into bedroom window

Reported via desktop in the Other Lighting Issue category anonymously at 12:51, Wednesday 18 January 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The streetlamp outside Number 4 St Lawrence Road has recently been changed to an LED type. This is considerably brighter than before and as the house is higher than the street level the lamp is level with the second floor of the house, illuminating the bedroom at the front of number 4 and causing sleep issues. Due to the irregular size and shape of the dormer window to this room, it is not possible to install black out curtains that cover the whole window. Could some kind of shield be installed so that the light does not spill so much into the window?

Council ref: 4144828

Unit type: Wooden Pole Mounted Light
