Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
I know that this is a long shot but I wondered if someone could look in to this extremely dangerous slip road merging on to the a34. I have to merge here daily for work and nearly everyday there is nearly an accident as the slip road is extremely short and you cannot see traffic on the a34 til the last moment, usually resulting in either a car cutting up a vehicle on the a34 to merge almost causing an accident, or vehicles on the slip road having to preform emergency stops on the slip road at the last minute. I think if you were to cut down the bushes/trees between the slip road and a34 it would improve visibility when merging massively, and also extending the slip road although I appreciate this is unlikely. Please can someone look in to this as a matter of urgency, as lives will be lost at this junction which is only getting busier all the time if something isn’t done.
Thank you for your suggestion, it will be added to a list which are assessed and prioritised by our Safety Team. We will now close this report, but if your suggestion gets selected for action we will let you know.
