The street light in Heathfield Close in excessively bright and on for excessive times.

Reported via desktop in the Other Lighting Issue category anonymously at 17:11, Fri 13 January 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The street light in Binfield Heath has been replaced recently and shines brightly into bedrooms. It is on excessive times until about 1.30 am in the morning and back on at 05.30 in the morning. Heathfield Close has mostly elderly residents and a street light on until 9pm in the evening would be more than sufficient. A low brightness unit that shines downwards rather than outwards is required as fitted on Arch Hill. The excessive times not only disturb the residents but are also contributing unnecessarily to climate change at a time when SODC have already declared a climate emergency.
