1.5 km length not cyclable due to hedge cutting debris

Reported via desktop in the Suggested improvements category anonymously at 10:49, Friday 13 January 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The cycle path along a dangerous and busy road from Marcham to Abingdon has recently had the hedges cut – its not effectively un-cyclable as its covered in woody debris (most of it hawthorn and so covered in spikes). This is totally unacceptable, it needs to be swept to return it to some vague condition where it can be used and so we don’t get killed by drivers (including large number of school kids using it to get to school) - I would also note if you do want to risk cycling on the road (not on the path) the presence of the path means you get frequent and regular verbal abuse and threats for not using the cycle path by prick drivers.
