Deep, sharp pothole on the left as you approach Wigginton, near the bridge by the entrance to Paradise Farm on Swerford Heath Road.

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 09:44, Friday 13 January 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Burst my tyre on a huge pothole last night. You have to swerve to avoid the many potholes along this road. I had to hit this deep, pothole to avoid an oncoming car because the road is quite narrow. It’s the main route to work for a lot of people in surrounding villages, so even though it’s a narrow road, it’s well used. I’d only had that tyre one week, so there was no fault with the tyre.

  • Living in Wigginton we use this route approx. twice a day and on half of our trips in the last six days there has been a vehicle stopped with a burst tyre or with further damage. This is now a safety risk and very expensive for vehicle owners, and needs to be fixed immediately. Other potholes are present along this stretch of road generally and will soon develop to be dangerous and damaging, and drivers already have to weave between them in places.

  • Use this road at twice a day and noticed there have been some unlucky people hit this pothole. I've been lucky enough to slow right down to make sure nothing is coming the other way so I can avoid it.
