Gully not filled suffiently

Reported via desktop in the Potholes and maintenance category anonymously at 08:31, Thursday 12 January 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Contractors have cut a gully across the cycle path on the down side of the bridge of the side heading into Oxford. This gully has been insufficiently filled and is a hazard to cyclists as this is an unlit area. Could the gully be filled to the correct height. This is a consistent problem with gully's cut along the cycle path.

  • The cut gully on the cycle path on RHS towards Oxford is worsening and is a hazard to cyclists in the dark. This has been reported consistently for months

  • The Gully is very dangerous to cyclists in the dark. This has been outstanding for 4 months. The contractors along the stretch of cycle path from Witney to the Wolvercote roundabout have failed to fill gullys that are now sinking. The West Oxford District Council encourage cycling, this is a disincentive to cycling and encourages people back to cars!
