  • Abingdon Town Council has received call from driver stating that lights are on red permanently. Driver witnessed a very near miss at 11.30am today, concerned accident will occur.

  • Traffic lights permanently on red both ends of the road works. Very dangerous as you can’t see what’s happening at other end of roadworks. An accident might happen.

  • Timing of lights need to be altered. Only allowing 4 cars through at a time a at 8am this morning. Took over 30 minutes to travel half a mile. People were abandoning their cars and having to walk their children into school…..

  • These lights need to be removed, there is space for vehicles to get past. Alternatively move the barriers. They are causing significant delay and difficulty around Shippon. Someone needs to use some common sense!

  • Any update on when these lights will be gone. There are 2 reports on this platform for this bridge and each report has multiple questions and concerns but not one post has been replied to! Obviously this was a tragic accident but it's been nearly a month now with no visible works being carried out. The lights frequently fail not only causing dangerous driving but also extremely long delays for this very busy road that leads to 4 schools. Please advise when this work will be complete. Thank you.
