Deep 18+ inch pothole Middleton road banbury near tesco express entrance after the the zebra crossing

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 12:47, Fri 23 December 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This pothole has been here for around 3 weeks now, it is damaging alloys aswell as tyres. It’s hard to miss due to oncoming traffic also vehicles parked on the same side very close to the pothole making it impossible to dodge. Can’t brake because it’s a very busy road which will also cause a collision with the vehicles behind. It has cracked my alloys causing an air leak.

  • Massive pothole near Tesco Express entrance on the Middleton Road. You can’t avoid it due to stationary cars on the left, also oncoming busy traffic! I now have a slow puncture front tyre left side, due to hitting the pothole!!

  • This pothole seems to be from works several weeks ago when the road was dug up. It is very difficult to avoid as it runs across the road, there are parked cars and there is normally traffic coming the other way so drivers have no option but to drive straight into it. It is becoming even more problematic due to the volume of traffic along Middleton Road. Have the team from OCC been to see the road yet?

  • It has now been a month since this pothole appeared, it is now the entire width of the left hand lane and is unavoidable. I will have to take my car for tracking and alignment check as there is a horrible noise since I hit the pothole again this morning. How long do we have to wait, this is a main road!!

  • This pothole is a serious risk to all road users and has been for weeks. If a cyclist or motorcyclist hits this it could result in a serious casualty/ accident or fatality. It is located at the traffic lights near the Pepperpot Public House. It has damaged my tyres and wheels as other car users have already reported.
