Gully issue
Reported via desktop in the Damaged Gully or Catchpit Ironwork category by Anne Feather at 12:38, Tue 20 December 2022

This issue has been reported several times and keeps returning. During bad weather there is a river of water that flows down Bagley Wood Rd towards Kennington Rd by the War Memorial. The drains are blocked solid. Due to this issue, large amounts of water collect outside the Old Church, resulting in cars spraying water constantly at the old stone Church wall, which is permanently damp and affecting the building. It has been suggested that a highways engineer meets with a councillor to sort this issue once and for all, as emptying the drains of silt is not the answer. The road needs digging up. The photos show the one gully totally bunged up; an additional drain is sited under the parked car with the third photo showing the road going towards the Church - Many thanks Please note it would seem that the yellow marker is on the incorrect side of the road, unless there is another gully/drain there too. The drain in the photo is situated just a little up from the entrance to Headway, on that side of the road.
