Lamp post not suitable for new fitting

Reported via desktop in the Other Lighting Issue category anonymously at 21:13, Thu 15 December 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The new LED light fitting installed this week is at an angle due to the top of the lamp post not being horizontal. This causes little light to fall down onto the path it is supposed to illuminate and sends dazzling light directly into my astronomical observatory. New lamp post required, fitting needs to be installed horizontally or a shield installed to prevent light being sent where it is not needed.

Council ref: 4037918

Asset ID: 001

Unit type: Light

  • The recent foggy weather illustrates the issue. Photo attached with annotated version. The main beam of the lamp misses the path completely and shines directly into back gardens causing a nuisance and interferes with the enjoyment of my property. As far as I can tell looking at the fitting it should be possible to adjust it.
