Chicane alternative?

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Please could it be considered whether there's an alternative to a chicane that could be installed on this cycle path? I have a trike 90cm wide and I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get past, which will give me no alternative but the road to get my daughter up the hill to pre-school. That's maybe something I can work on my anxiety around but not everyone will necessarily have that choice and it does seem more dangerous than a fully accessible cycle path.
