Thank you for your report. I have visited the site you pinpointed on the map, on the footway opposite Mathew Arnolds School entrance, Arnolds Way and couldn't find the 'Dangerous Pothole' you refer to at this location. Having read your report, however, I assume you are referring to one of the depressions and potholes, I marked up for repair, after assessing and investigating the report https://fixmystreet.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ report/ 3948312 - ENQ22937339.
Most of the small defects I did find, on the stretch of Arnolds Way, in front of the school, relating to this report, unfortunately, didn't meet our current intervention criteria so I could not arrange a repair. The ones I did submit for repair were barely intervention level and have now all been repaired, including the depression I think you are referring to, see photo. I am therefore closing this report.
We will continue to monitor this site during our routine inspections. If you notice that the issue gets worse, please open a new report. Find out more about highway repairs and how we assess risk https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ residents/ roads-and-transport/ street-maintenance-z/ road-repairs.
Note, however, that this 'un-even road surface' issue, in Arnolds Way, has been submitted, in the past, to our Asset Renewals Team, as a Non-Safety Defect for their assessment and appraisal. Any major works have to go to this team, who consider this request, along with many others, for inclusion in future programmed works, subject to there being no conflicting works and sufficient funds.
