Extensive damage to road surface in several locations

The road surface on Cox's Lane has been deteriorating for many years. I first reported this many months ago, but it was deemed not urgent enough to be repaired. Subsequently some minor potholes have been repaired nearby by your team, but not these deeper, more hazardous ones as inexplicably, they had not been marked with white paint. Ten or so days ago a resident was accompanying his elderly mother up Cox's Lane and she tripped on the uneven surface, I believe smashing her spectacles. It is bad enough in a car, but I cycle this road to get home, and it is wrecking my bike.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. I have visited the site and assessed the problem that you have identified. Unfortunately it does not meet our current intervention criteria so I cannot arrange a repair. We will continue to monitor this during our routine inspections.
