Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
I have dropped the pin on the map as an estimate. I am not local and it was too dangerous and dark to take pictures.
I would like to report a road accident I (and 3 other cars ) experienced on sat 26th Nov 2022 on the A41 @17:20hrs.
I had left Bicester shopping village at 17:00 and at 17:20 my car experienced a loud bang and mental grinding sound due to hitting a pot hole on the A41.
I was driving to Hertfordshire with 3 other passengers. Almost immediately I pulled over as I could hear my tyre was blown, and at this point I could see the car behind me also pull over and put hazard lights on.
It was dark, wet and windy so neither of us were driving fast. I called the AA who attended within 20min, in this period a 3 rd cast also pulled over with hazard lights on having past the same piece of road .
The area was extremely unsafe, and the AA man called the police due to imminent risk on the 'A road' and the passengers now standing at the road side.
It took several hours for the situation to be made safe and a further couple of hours for my tyre to safely be repaired to get me home to Hertfordshire. This cost me £280 to repair, the invoice I can provide, and it added an extra 4hr to our journey, with 1 passenger having a physical disability standing on grass edge for hours.

I would like information on how to claim back the cost for my tyre repair please, as this is a substantial amount of money and I believe the road was in very poor condition that affected many cars.
