Kerb on bridge damaged
Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 18:20, Fri 25 November 2022
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The end of the kerb that should be slopped in to the ground has sunk and there is now a dangerous vertical end to the kerb protruding in to the road. The kerb is on a corner where vehicles movements mean they come to a pinch point to try and go over the bridge while navigating a corner. Due to the condition of the road edge just before the kerb, if a driver need to move over to get out of the path of an oncoming vehicle, the road pulls the drivers near side from t wheel directly in to the path of this faulty kerb. The road is a fast road and this kerb has caused a recent accident where a car has hit the vertical kerb end that protrudes in to the the road, rather than being guided over the kerb by a sloped end and has caused the car to blow out two tyres.
