Lighting design and installation required for under bypass bridge

Reported via desktop in the Other Lighting Issue category anonymously at 12:49, Wed 23 November 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Now that the days are shorter and the area is dark from 4.30 in the afternoon to just after 7.00 in the morning and for pedestrian security LED lighting is required under the bypass bridge on Cowley Road, Littlemore, lighting the highway itself and the pavements and also the inner bank pavements/walkways on both sides of the road. Given the tendency for individuals to congregate under the bridge to drink a lighting design and installation in this immediate area for which there is strong local support is requested. The Parish Council have some infrastructure funding which could be applied for but details of what can be done and how quickly this could proceed are required. The lighting would need to be ambient and positioned so as not to intrude on housing on either side of the bridge.
