Traffic calming signs required
Reported via desktop in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 12:33, Thu 17 November 2022
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Would welcome traffic calming review. Signage highlighting rural community and turning vehicles present would be useful to help remind drivers of concealed entrances for multiple properties, businesses and the parking bay. Similar signage on A4074 Port Way, eg.

Along that stretch of road more than eight small children under seven years old live plus over 8 OAP's. Does not sound many but how many does it need to be to care? As it is a long stretch of road cars travel excessively fast. One side is fields, should a small animal venture from the fields this would mean that a vehicle travelling over 40 miles an hour would veer towards the residences, the very young and very old would not be able to avoid a collision from a speeding vehicle. When driving along there within the speed limit vehicle will overtake at great speed on the straight stretch. Please action this before there is a fatality.

We will investigate the site for any safety issues that may exist and arrange corrections for any found, however if you would like a full traffic calming review to be undertaken I would suggest contacting your local parish council.
