Road junction markings red infill to do to finish job
Reported via mobile in the Road Markings category by Richard Cuthbertson at 18:52, Mon 31 October 2022
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Ref my report no. 3797360, the red in fills for both junctions with A4074, Main dt Checkendon and Reading Road Woodcote, have still not been done. Now the evenings are darker earlier now therefore in "rush hour" traffic, the junctions are even more susceptable to accidents, vehicles and motorbikes really fly down and up to both junctions. Please can this job be funished as a safety priority. Thank you. Richard Cuthbertson

Please note that your reference for this report quoted was incorrect. The correct one is 3787260, this same report info still applies and we hope you'll be able to finish the road marking job ( filling in the red areas) as soon as possible. Many thanks. Richard Cuthbertson

The RED road in-fills to the new white road markings have still not been done at A4074 junctions marked and down A4074. The white lines, while better than the very old virtually non existant ones they replaced, need the red in-fills to really stand out, especially at night. Can you please complete this job, ref 3787260, council ref RNQ22932975 as soon as possible to help prevent cars over shooting the junction(s) onto A4074. Thank you. Richard Cuthbertson, Rg8 0nx

Council ref ENQ22932975, original fix my street report 3787260. Just checking, the red road infills have just been done along centre of A4074 where the Checkendon main st junction stretch is, great! But the red infills at the actual junction and partly down main st haven't been done, our main concern for clearer traffic visibility of junction road markings to a fast stretch of the 4074. Could be it's about to be done but thought I'd advise you in case its been missed. Richard Cuthbertson, Checkendon

Thank you for raising this concern with us. Apologies for the delay in response.
We will investigate this site to ensure all safety requirements are achieved, however often the red in-fill is deemed unnecessary and intentional not refreshed, which may be the occurrence here.
