Trip hazard due to inadequate tarmac on new pavement near entrance to Field View Lane

Reported via mobile in the Pavements category anonymously at 19:24, Tue 25 October 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The new section of pavement created by the recent works to the entrance to Field View Lane (completed Friday 21st Oct.) has insufficient tarmac coverage south of the junction. The textured paving at the junction end is standing proud of the new tarmac and is a trip hazard. On the other side of the replaced section, the level of the new surface is below that of the old pavement, creating another trip hazard. Bunkers Hill has no street lighting, so the uneven surface is hard to see after dark.

  • Dear Helen,

Thank you for reporting this. Our Site Inspector has been advised that the footpath tarmac was finished this morning, so there shouldn't be a trip hazard anymore. He will inspect either tomorrow or Monday and confirm.

    Kind regards
    Road Agreements Team
