Pothole and sunken trenches causing building shake

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Dear sirs. The road surface outside our house at 13 Gidley Way has deteriorated to the point that every time a bus or lorry passes it perceptibly shakes our house. A road gulley has sunk leaving a pothole around 60mm deep around it and two trenches crossing the road around 7M apart have sunk creating approximately 20mm lips. These require quite simple repairs to create an even road surface. We are concerned that the footings and stability of our house structure may be affected if nothing is done. Thanks and best wishes Ed & Pip Murray

We would like to report the same problem with our house at 9 Gidley Way. We are experiencing vibrations every time a heavy vehicle, or a car going fast, goes over over the sunken parts of the road opposite our house. In addition, during some recent heavy rain, water was pouring into the largest of the sunken patches. We are very concerned that it may be causing structural damage to our house. Please could this be looked at as a matter of urgency. Thank you, David and Karen Amos

Dear sirs The bottom section of Gidley way is now pitted with sunken trenches and sunken previous repairs and potholes. See photo. Our house shakes when heavy vehicles pass and we know you have had similar complaints from our neighbours. We will hold the County Council responsible if our house suffers structural damage as a result of the road surface not being properly maintained. We reported this issue six months ago and nothing has been done. Ed & Pip Murray 13 Gidley Way.
