Lengthy delays at Milton Interchange

Reported via desktop in the Current Roadworks category anonymously at 09:13, Tue 11 October 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Lengthy delays at Milton Interchange for the past 2-3 weeks due to cones changing road layout & various roadworks. Traffic is ridiculously queued leaving Milton Park in the evening & also entering Milton Park in the morning. Please consider changing the layout of the cones (especially as the blocked off lanes are currently not undergoing any construction work?!) &/or altering the timing of the traffic lights. This is causing long delays & lots of irate drivers!

  • There were queues of approx 1 mile through Milton park at 9am this morning, waiting to leave the park. This evening at 5:30pm queues were significantly longer, for the full length of Park Drive.

As above, it's hard to understand why so many lanes are closed with no work being done. Can some consideration be made for commuters? Will this continue until 14/11/22 as specified in work ref vs016ukp10189_2?

  • No response yet from the council, but I have heard today from Milton Park. Apparently the traffic management will be removed tomorrow (Friday), with works on A4130 towards Milton hill continuing until 26/10/22.
