Overgrown tree causing a nuisance/obstruction on pathway, and surrounding trees.

Reported via desktop in the Trees category anonymously at 16:17, Tue 4 October 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This tree has grown massively in the last few years. It now sheds 'keys' onto the pathway below causing an obstruction. The tree is also growing into nearby trees making maintenance of the nearby trees impossible. If any of the branches become stressed or weakened, it would pose a danger to pedestrians passing below.

  • Thank you for your report. I have visited site and assessed the tree in its location. The tree present is
on land not deemed to be part of the highway maintainable at public expense by
OCC in the County’s capacity as local highway authority. The tree is on land, that
is maintainable by the Local Town Council and not by the County
    Council. You may also wish
to contact them directly to pursue this enquiry further.
    Many Thanks for your enquiry.
