Overgrown hedge

Reported via mobile in the Grass and Hedges category anonymously at 15:24, Thursday 29 September 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Please cut the hedge in Watlington Road in Benson. As is obvious from the attached photos the hedge has grown tremendously during the summer particularly as it wasn’t cut back during the winter. My garden is suffering and doesn’t get enough light and the soil is getting so dry as the hedge is taking all the moisture as it’s so tall. I requested earlier in the year to see to this problem but was told the council would keep an eye on it. I see that the farmers in the vicinity have started cutting back their hedges, so the nesting period is obviously over and the work can be carried out safely. Thanks for your help,.

Unfortunately as the vegetation doesn't restrict the footpath or carriageway. I am afraid it will not be cut back.

    Thank you
