Repeated flooding of our garden and property as a result of gully drains blocked with road debris and inadequate gully maintenance

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
In recent months, we again experienced flooding of our garden and property as a result of the failure of street gullies to handle heavy thunderstorm rain. On inspection we observed that a number of street gullies are once more blocked, or partially blocked, as they had filled with soil, gravel and vegetation from the filled gutters of Courtington Lane near our home. These gutters still remain filled with this debris, ready to be washed once again into the drains even after they have been cleared. We therefore request 1) That all blocked and partially blocked gullies at the junction of Courtington Lane and Workhouse Lane, and along Courtington Lane by the school playing fields on both sides of the road are cleared out and unblocked. The waterflow is from the field direction towards the junction and our home. 2) That the street edges be cleared of soil, gravel and plant debris over the same area on both sides of the road to help prevent or reduce future blockages. 3)The gullies need to be inspected and cleared at least annually. The last time was in March 2021.
