No adequate signage to advise that High Street is closed

Due to absolutely no signage at the roundabout of Church Road and Station Road advising the the High Street is actually closed many vehicles are still trying to get through as they are totally unaware. Just witnessed chaos as artic trying to get through and only to be blocked as no signage saying High Street is closed for sometime. Then I had to guide him whilst he reversed in the T junction and turned round to go back. What also doesn’t help is the lack of enforcement of parking or better still temporarily restricted parking so this bottle neck didn’t happen in the first place. Total lack of forethought in signage and planning. Driver said the notice only says closed from 4th October which is misleading as its notification of future work in Church Rd. This sign as at the corner of Rectory Road. This needs attention immediately before there is a blockage and tempers fray further. Shops must be getting flustered as it’s effected their trade as no one can park due to contractors vehicles parking in and near shop spaces restricting access further.
