Light far to bright for night

The street lamp outside my bedroom window outside 32 station road is extremely bright at night, is costing me sleep and sanity. The light is right above the window. It’s giving me a constant headache, from brightness and tiredness. I understand the importance of street lamps, but past a certain time most lamps are turned off for energy reasons, so I’m wondering if this one can as it would greatly improve my quality of living.
