Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
There is a sunken strip that crosses the road directly outside above property. It looks like somebody has, in the past, dug a trench across the road and filled it with tarmac which has since compacted or sunk lower. It acts, in effect, as an inverted speed bump. The problem is that every time a large vehicle goes over it the entire house shakes significantly. To the point where there are now large cracks opening up in the interior walls and the hot water tank has been shaken from its mounting in the loft. The water tank issue is being rectified this week at a cost of over £2000. I am not asking for any assistance in paying this bill. What I should very much like to see is the trench raised back up to the level of the road as soon as possible. Since the County Council have blocked every other avenue open to motorists, the volume of traffic has increased outside the house quite dramatically, day and night. If you could see your way to sending somebody out to investigate the issue I would be extremely grateful.
