Traffic Management not managing

Reported via mobile in the Current Roadworks category anonymously at 09:30, Mon 26 September 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This morning at 08:20, I saw the back of the queue forming outside St. Mary’s church in Bloxham, reaching solidly all the way to Warriner School and impacting adjacent joining roads too. The traffic management in place outside the school is clearly not set up to manage and is causing major disruption at peak times. Can this be urgently reviewed or the contractor encouraged to accelerate their schedule of works. I imagine that if an emergency services vehicle were attempting to pass through the village they would be hugely impeded. Children are crossing the road at points between stationary vehicles, clearly they are at risk of stepping into oncoming traffic in the other lane if they cannot easily be seen.
