Road has lost top surface in places and needs resurfaced

The road in this area whilst fine for cars, has lost its top surface in places, leaving it incredibly bumpy and difficult for cyclists, especially on the southbound side heading towards Botley.

  • Thank you for your report. I have visited the site you pinpointed on the map, see photos, and assessed the "Road has lost top surface in places and needs resurfaced" issue that you have identified. I have marked up the worst defects for repair. Unfortunately the rest don't meet our current intervention criteria so I cannot arrange a repair.

    I am, however, also submitting this report to our Asset Renewals Team who will consider this request when planning their programmed works. Any major works have to go to this team, who will consider this request, along with many others, for inclusion in future programmed works, subject to there being no conflicting works and sufficient funds.

    We will continue to monitor this site during our routine inspections.
