700mm & 900mm potholes on Church Road, Blewbury
Reported via desktop in the Pothole category by Chris Whatmore at 14:47, Tue 20 September 2022
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
These potholes, each about 50mm deep, were reported by a local resident in August. They are a significant hazard for pedestrians and wheel chair users, especially at night since there are no streetlights and no raised walkway. The nearer one in the photo, having much sharper and steeper sides, is also a growing danger for vehicles.

The potholes, more than one, are outside my house and on the road I have to walk along to reach other parts of the village. They have been getting worse over the past year and are now a serious hazard to pedestrians, wheelchair users and cyclists. With dark nights approaching the danger is even worse. When it has been raining it becomes even more hazardous because the holes are less obvious, and with no lights other than a torch I have to remember where the holes are. At 90 I am less agile than when younger but am not going to stop walking because of rough roads.
