Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Cyclists complain that the interval between the light facing Windmill Road turning red and the lights facing London Road turning green is not long enough, meaning that they can end up marooned in the right-turn lanes in the centre of the junction for a full cycle of the lights. Lengthening this phase by a few seconds would permit them to more reliably clear the junction before the London Road traffic is signalled to proceed.
Thank you for your report, we are now investigating this issue and an update will be posted as soon as possible.

An Engineer has visited site and checked the operation of the signals. During Engineer visits the site was found to be working correctly without any current faults. All red timings checked and found to be within current guidance. Exit blocking does occur at the junction but this is something which the signals cannot control. The junction will continue to be monitored but believe the current timings to be the best achievable at this site.
