No lighting on Wallingford bridge

Reported via mobile in the Other Lighting Issue category anonymously at 22:54, Monday 12 September 2022

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

I have just walked back from Crowmarsh in the dark and there is no lighting on Wallingford bridge which is extremely dangerous as you cannot see the edge of the pavement. I nearly fell on the pavement twice, once when a car was coming across.

Council ref: 3820866

Asset ID: 001

Unit type: Light

Updates

  • Last night I was told that one member of a party of four tripped and fell whilst crossing Wallingford Bridge because of the lack of street lighting. He now has a fractured wrist. I have advised that he take legal advice with the thought of claiming against OCC. This issue has been reported numerous times over the last 3 months or more and yet it has still not been fixed. There aren't even any updates to tell interested parties what the delay is.
